Lauren Thibodeau is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and holds a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego, a Bachelor’s in Cognitive Science from UCSD and an Associate of Humanities. She works with various clients, and while trained in a range of treatment types, she strives to tailor her therapeutic approach to each person and their unique, individual needs. Lauren treats adults, couples, families, and adolescents, and is especially passionate in providing resources and care to the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.
To address these, and other, relationship and mental health issues, Lauren utilizes experiential, attachment-based interventions, somatic experiencing, and internal family systems therapies. She is also trained in emotionally focused, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, structural family, and self-compassion therapies.
Lauren has over a decade of experience in public service and as a first responder and is dedicated to providing care to EMS, fire, nurses, physicians, medical providers and law enforcement personnel who are struggling with loss, PTSD and Covid fatigue.
